Project Manager – Construction, Civil Engineering

The company:
A very successful international firm is looking for a 6-10 years’+ engineering project manager to join its dynamic team in Shanghai. Operating in Asia, US and Europe, this firm has over 15 offices around the world. Their teams are divided into architecture, interior design, engineering and construction. The Shanghai office is consists of over 250 professional designers and project managers.

Your role:
The projects are in major cities in China including Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou etc. Most of the projects are from high-level international companies especially Fortune 500. Their major project types are corporate office, schools, hospitals and factories.

Responsibilities:
• Working with internal team to ensure the quality, cost and schedule of the projects
• In charge of projects from beginning to end, including bidding phase, design phase, and construction phase
• Select and finalise suitable suppliers and sub-contractors, deal with various consultants, contractors and sub-contractors to make sure projects can be completely successfully
• Manage clients and maintain good relation with them
• Site supervision, progress report and quality assurance

Requirements:
Key attributes of the Engineering PM include:
• Relevant education background in civil engineering, construction management, MEP, HVAC etc
• 6-10 years’ + relevant work experience, best with corporate office, school or hospital project experience
• Must be bilingual in Mandarin and English
• On-site experience
• Strong communication skills & a good team player
• Must be present in China and best already have over 2 years’ China work experience
